Boomea is our solution to a webapp that includes a webphone, chat features, call center monitoring, access call recordings, user presence, and many other features. The main functionality for Boomea is to allow for users to make and receive calls through their computer / laptop using that machine's audio settings. In this article we will cover how to access Boomea via the webapp or to download and install the Desktop application. We will also cover how to log in for the first time.
If your company has enabled Boomea access for you, will receive an email with your login information. As you can see in the image of the email below, you can access Boomea from the webapp using the link https://app.boomea.com as well as downloading the desktop app at https://boomea.com/download
You may choose to use either or both. The data in each sync with the other so you are always up to date. The webapp is mostly used for when you are not using your own computer (like traveling at a hotel) though it can also be used on your computer daily instead of the desktop app. It runs in a browser such as Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge. If you choose to use the desktop app, it is downloaded, installed, and used on your computer.
Before you log in to either, the first step is to click the Reset Password button in your email, you will be brought to the password reset page where you can set your account's password, once this has been set you can log into Boomea successfully:
As mentioned above, you can access Boomea from the webapp using the link https://app.boomea.com in a browser like Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome. If you choose to install the desktop app on your computer, you can down it at https://boomea.com/download. Save the file, then open and install it.
Once in either app, you will need to log in using your work email and the password you just created.
